Prof. Amr Jamal is a Professor and Consultant in Family Medicine and Clinical Informatics, and a leader in digital health strategy across Saudi Arabia and the region. He previously served as Chairman of the Family and Community Medicine Department at King Saud University (2018–2024), where he led major initiatives advancing digital health standards, competency frameworks, and telemedicine development.
His work spans clinical practice, health policy, and system design, with deep experience in enterprise architecture, data governance, digital maturity assessment, and responsible adoption of advanced technologies in care delivery. He has advised national and institutional transformation programs, including work with organizations such as SCFHS and SCOT, bridging governance and clinical reality with what it takes to execute at scale.
Prof. Jamal holds a Master’s in Biomedical Informatics from Oregon Health & Science University, an MBA, and executive training in leading digital transformation in healthcare. He is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics (FIAHSI) and has authored extensive academic work across clinical informatics and digital health.
